Yesterday, I could see grass in the backyard. Literally overnight, I had 3-foot drifts on the back deck. With snow up to my knees or higher, I waded through the drifts in Toronto’s first major snowstorm of 2022 - or 2021 for that matter. I managed to shovel a trench out front and back, but the car is not going anywhere today - or tomorrow. I haven’t seen the snow piled this high in years. And it is still falling. I thought this image was pretty symbolic of the overall experience today.
