It was bitterly cold and the snow knee-deep at East Point Park, but I was determined to get outside with my camera. Being open to your environment is key. I first saw the weak sun shining through the trees, then I looked down into the half-frozen pond. The water on the surface made for a beautiful reflection of those same trees, far more dramatic than an image of the actual subject matter would have been.
