Several years ago, we bought some perennial grasses to help hide the rough edges of our house. They grow tall enough to hide the gas meter and the cinderblock foundation. At the time, I didn't really think about the photographic opportunities they would provide. We don't cut them down in the winter so they are a bit of warmth and texture in the cold months, and can allow for some great compositions when mixed in with fresh snow.
